Various elements can affect the availability of flowers, but our Flower Substitutions policy maintains utmost quality while creating a design our customer desires. There are a few questions our customers always ask though. Therefore we’ve come up with the 7 Things You NEED To Know About Flower Substitutions!
Natural Elements Can Affect Flowers
There are times when certain flowers simply won’t be available due to numerous elements such as storms, drought, seasons, sickness & disease or even technical issues. These happenings are out of our control and may require florists to substitute where needed.
When this happens we do our best to fulfill your flower orders as accurately as possible with the flowers available. The great news is that the flower world offers many choices similar in either size, shape, texture, color and appearance.
Flower substitutions do not alter the integrity of what you’ve ordered.
Our expert florists ensure that the quality and value of your order remains the same.
You Can Make Requests
Another policy we offer is Customer Substitution Requests. Often our customers will love the design of an arrangement or bouquet but simply desire a small adjustment. This is entirely possible and we can make small changes to colors, flowers or even the paper and ribbon used.
Before making major changes we always get in touch with our customer to double check and answer all questions. We are always happy to take substitution requests for any of our products. Contact Westridge Florist Toowoomba with any questions.
Flowers Always Vary
Having realistic expectations when it comes to flowers will give you a more enjoyable experience. For example, flower colors and appearance can change. There are so many different tones and a ‘Light Pink Rose’ can change depending on the season and grower.
Flowers are unique and ever-changing. Despite this we always do our very best to supply flowers that are similar to your needs and desires. This is fairly easy to accomplish with the general range of blooms but others may require a bit more planning.
No Two Arrangements Are The Same
Because flowers grow differently from one stem to the next, you will never have two arrangements exactly the same. Recently we received an order for ‘Fond Farewell‘ on our website. At the time, White Gladioli were out of season due to disease on our supplier’s farm. We simply contacted the customer and came to a happy agreement of White Snapdragons, with their similar height and unique blooms. Our customer also requested that we add more yellow and we happily obliged! You can see the result in the two photos below.
Products Are Examples
The product pictures that you see on our website serve as samples. As you can see, the first arrangement pictured is the example product from our webpage. The second arrangement pictured is an order all ready to head out our door and comfort someone for a Fond Farewell. You can see that although the flowers and their positions differ slightly, it still results in an appealing arrangement just like the sample product.
Remember:
When you supportflorist substitutions,
You support local growers!
Buds Are Not Bad
You may notice that your flowers will arrive with a lot of blooming to do. If we delivered our arrangements looking like the sample photo above, your flowers would have a life of 4-5 days before they began to wilt and brown, as opposed to a healthy and average life of up to 2 weeks!
We source our flowers farm-fresh and keep them that way, sending them out as soon as they come in. This means that your arrangements will stay fresher and last longer. As the days go by, it is a lovely experience watching your flowers grow and bloom and become more beautiful before your very eyes!
