So, a little bit about the sunflower.
It will move itself to make sure it is in a position directly facing the sun, in order to get the maximum sun rays. It’s quite amazing, really. This unique quality has made the sunflower popular as a spiritual symbol faith and worship, because, as we follow our belief system in faith and turn our gaze upward to the Heavens, so does the sunflower move to face the life-giving rays of the sun. Sunflowers also symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity. Much of our love of sunflowers stems from its namesake, the sun itself.
Sunflowers are known for being “happy” flowers, making them the perfect gift to bring joy to someone’s day.
Sunflowers are also perfect as wedding flowers.
They symbolize happiness, adoration, loyalty and longevity.
One of our most stunning products online is called Grande Amore. This bouquet is packed full of beautiful blooms, but we think the outstanding flower in this beautiful array of flowers is the humble sunflower.
Some tips on sunflowers.
Purchase your sunflowers before they are fully opened. This will ensure that you get good vase life from them. As an added bonus you will get to see them bloom and observe how they will follow the light, always seeking the sun. The best water to use is tank or purified water and use your flower food sachet. When the sunflowers are fully bloomed the best way to keep them fresh is to change your water daily, add a few drops of bleach and recut the stems each time.
