Hello Festival Butterflies~!
For the 2016 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers parade we were honored to be asked to design and construct the horse breast plates for the Toowoomba trail riding club.
We did it in a theme of blue and yellow the clubs colors and used native flowers.
These gorgeous pin cushions came in two shades of beautiful yellow, which we paired with scented eucalyptus gum and blue dyed Geraldton wax flowers.
The horse’s riders and flowers looked stunning and we received lots of fantastic feedback. One hungry horse thought the flowers looked delicious, deciding to try for a nibble!
This was one of my favorite jobs this year as I love horses. To be able to combine flowers and horses was so exciting and the scent of horses in the store was a bonus! Added to that was the challenge of constructing a complex design that had to withstand the rigors of horses, sun and riders.
Overall, we had so much fun and hope for another fantastic Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers next year!
Until our next adventure~
